Our Story
Built for Your Adventure. Sized for Your Life.
We’re a crew of guys from the Olympic Peninsula. We built Kairnu for the same reason you're here: to answer the call of the wild, to explore, and to find a piece of that spirit for everyday life.
Welcome to Kairnu. Let's get outside.

Why Kairnu? Honoring the Spirit of the Wild.
Our name is inspired by Cernunnos, an ancient guardian of the forest. He represents that primal, grounded connection to nature—the kind you feel when you’re deep in the Olympics and remember you’re part of something bigger.
For us, it’s a reminder to respect these lands, to leave pretenses behind, and to build things that are honest, durable, and rooted in this unique corner of the world.

For the Work, the Workout, and the Weekend Fire.
Our idea of fitness isn’t just reps in a gym. It’s the burn in your legs after a climb to Hurricane Ridge. It’s the shock of a plunge in the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It’s tossing a rugby ball in a field or splitting a cord of wood.
We make apparel that can keep up—whether you’re tackling a project, tackling a trail, or just tackling the Sunday grill.
Good Gear for the Good Times.
We believe in the sacred art of a well-earned feast. A steak seared over firewood you chopped yourself. A local whiskey shared with friends. The satisfaction of a long day that ends with a good cigar and the sound of the waves.
It’s about enjoying the full measure of life, with both hands. Our drinkware, accessories, and gear are built for those moments.

For Locals, Visitors, and Everyone In Between.
We’re living in the only temperate rainforest in North America, where Roosevelt elk outnumber people and the history is as deep as the Hoh River.
We have immense respect for the land and the tribal nations—the Hoh, Quileute, Makah, and others—who have stewarded it for millennia. We design our gear with this place in mind, aiming to create products worthy of the wilderness we call home.
